Statement of condemnation and denunciation

The Wafaq Organisation for Peace and Human Rights is monitoring developments in the dangerous situation in the southern Yemeni province of Shabwah, which has seen severe tension between peaceful demonstrators demanding the restoration of the southern state and rejecting the new cabinet formed by the Yemeni government in Riyadh under the auspices of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This tension tension in the southern regions since the beginning of January, when Saudi aircraft intervened to strike southern forces in the Hadramaut desert after southern forces tightened their grip on all southern territory, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of southern fighters.
Yesterday, Wednesday, the repressive intervention by forces affiliated with the so-called Yemeni legitimacy resulted in the martyrdom of a number of activists, some of whose names we have received, as well as the names of
dozens of demonstrators supporting the president of the Southern Transitional Council, Aidrous al-Zubaidi. They are

The Wafaq Organisation for Peace and Human Rights expresses its deep concern about the deteriorating situation in the south, with attempts to suppress peaceful freedom of expression in Hadramaut, Shabwah and many other southern cities, and the continued detention of activists, journalists and media professionals, whose fate remains unknown at this time.
